Let me go home

I'm just to far

From where You are

I want to come home

~"Home" - Michael Buble

     Home #1 -
Lancaster, PA. I miss seeing the fall season, with the beautiful
leaves and cooler weather. I miss singing on the worship team. I miss
the Amish cooking, and I even miss having to drive around buggies on
the back roads! And most of all, I miss my family, my friends, my
boyfriend, and my church. It's the relationships there that make it
tough to leave, but in my leaving I have found....

      Home #2 -
Granada, Nicaragua. I really do feel at home here, and that is mainly
due to the fact that I KNOW that at this exact moment, I am in
Granada because it's God's will for my life. While I probably
wouldn't have come here on my own, and though I struggled in the
beginning of the trip with feeling out of place, Granada does finally
feel like home. I love many parts of the culture. I love the
architecture, I love the scenery, and I love the fact that it's
possible to walk just about everywhere you need to go. And most of
all, I love the people. I have friendships here that are closer than
I ever imagined, and I already can see how coming back to PA for
Christmas (not to mention in May) will be bittersweet. It's going to
be the relationships that will make it tough to leave.

      God has been
using every feeling of homesickness that I have had this week to
point toward my ultimate home...

      Home #3 -
Heaven. And let me tell you, I CAN'T WAIT! No more crying. No more
pain. No more communication problems, and no more homesickness, ever.
People of all nations, praising God together. Having that hope and
expectancy of finally hearing my God say "Well done, my good and
faithful servant." Getting a crown to lay at the feet of my
Savior in awe and joy, and actually seeing the face of God! Talking
with Him. Walking with Him. (I hope I get to hug him, too!) It's the
relationship with God that will make it so great. I can't wait.

      Also, just so
you know, I am officially declaring a "Brag on God" party!
What has He done in your life this week? Who has He sent to encourage
you? How has He blessed you? What is He teaching you? Tell me some
stories! :) I love you all and thank God for your support and
prayers every day!
