     This week, someone must have prayed for
me to have patience, because He's put me in situations where I need
to learn to wait. There is no water at our house, and it looks like
there won't be any water for 3 days. The mail takes up to a month to
get here. My team is still in the process of getting different ministries off the ground, and
I don't always see results from the ministry opportunities we do
have. Wait on Me. Be strong, take heart, and wait on Me.

     This week, someone must have prayed for
me to have strength, because there have been days where I have felt
too empty to possibly be able to serve others. There have been nights
where I have been physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted.
Each time, I can do nothing but run to God, curl up in His arms, and
draw all my strength from Him. I am your refuge and strength, your
ever-present help in times of trouble.

     This week, someone must have prayed that I might hear God's voice better. He's told me to do things I haven't really wanted to do, told me to talk to people when I don't know what to say, and told me to go places and put myself in situations where I find myself very uncomfortable. Yet He has also spoken to my heart about my identity, my character, my future, and my past. I am loved and blessed. My sheep hear My voice, and they follow Me.

     This week, someone must have prayed for me to be spiritually fed
in some way. I am having to learn how to better feed myself instead of
depending on those around me, even leaders or pastors, to hand me their
knowledge. At times I have felt like an Israelite in Egypt, being told
to make more bricks yet find my own straw! But, God has also blessed me
in my desire for deeper knowledge and provided others in my life who challenge me. I am God, there is no other. I am God, and there is none like Me.

     This week, someone must have prayed that I might trust God more, because right now my world is a little bit flip-flopped as far as my future goes. I do not know what will happen after this trip, and I confess a certain feeling of anxiety whenever I stop reminding myself that God is completely in control of the details. As someone who likes to plan ahead, not knowing the next step just throws me into God all the more. I will fulfill My purpose for you, I will not abandon the work of My hands.

     For those of you who received a support
letter initially, do you remember what I asked you to pray? "First,
and most importantly, that God would be glorified in every aspect of
my life.... It is my desire to be molded into a better disciple of
Christ and a better servant to those around me." Praise God, He
is answering that prayer. It's rough at times, and usually looks
nothing like what I expected, but God is changing my life as I asked.
As YOU asked. Do not doubt that God is using you! Allow me to be slightly selfish and ask you to keep on praying! For my health, for the ministries I am able to do here, for the people I am building relationships with, and for God's direction in my future plans. And of course, for God to continue to do His work in my life as He chooses, and make me into the person I need to be. I am praying for God's hand in your life as well... be warned that my prayers may be answered in a way you don't expect!
