36 days. Three dozen days. Five weeks and two days. One month, one week, and two days. No matter how you put it, my response is the same: WOW.
So since the time between now and my flight out of Baltimore keeps shrinking (and since if I don't do it now while I have a free moment, I might not have a chance to post for a while!), allow me to crunch some numbers for you and give you the latest update on support.
Total Cost: $6,250 + airfare*
Support raised so far: $2,700
*This week the money will be coming out of my account for the plane tickets between GA and Nicaragua, which should be about 900 dollars. When I originally figured the cost of the trip, I had not anticipated the ticket to be quite as expensive so that's why you're not seeing the original 7,000 like on the last update.
$2,700 - $900 = $1,800 left in my account after airfare
$6,250 - $1,800 = just $4,450 to go!
Now here's the exciting part. In order for me to step on that plane to Nicaragua, I need to have 60% of the funds ($3,750) in my account, and the rest ($2,500) can be in monthly pledges. Right now my pledges total $630 so if you're thinking about doing something monthly, there's still room for you to do so! As always, the link that says "Support Me!" is on the left under my picture.
I hope I didn't lose anyone with all the numbers.. I know they seem big but my God is so much bigger! Who owns the cattle on a thousand hills? Who owns all the wealth of the universe? And who am I to think that the financial cost of a trip to serve Him in Nicaragua is a problem for Him?
